For those of you I’ve photographed in the last month, you will know that Randy has been away training to become a firefighter! Prior to leaving, as Randy and I were talking about all that he was going to do in the next month, he said something that I won’t forget … “Even if I don’t like firefighting, at least when I’m 50 I can look back on all of this and know that I tried.” Because how often do we think about doing things and then regret not even trying. With 2015 fast approaching, I’ve been thinking a lot about all that the year will hold. And I’m not one for setting new years resolution, but I do love setting goals and crossing them off my list once accomplished. So this year, I’m going to try things, without the fear of failure (hopefully!).
It’s been a long month, but it’s been a good month. What I mean by that is, we’ve learnt a lot, grown a lot, and trusted in Christ’s strength, a lot! But today, Randy is finished his program, and he’ll be flying back home! I actually can’t wait!
I’m so proud of all that he has accomplished in this past month, and for how well he has accomplished it!
See you soon!
(p.s. Did you ever think that such a small statement would create a blog post! I’m not kidding when my brain never shuts off!)
