I will never forget the very first time I officially met Randy’s family. I was more nervous then I care to admit and spent more time then I really should have getting ready. All normal, right? Regardless, all of those nerves were for nothing, as the minute I stepped into the Elgersma home, I felt something different, something I wasn’t expecting. What I felt was love, it was the welcoming into a family I had never met with open arms, and it was acceptance. As Randy drove me home, I was overwhelmed with joy, not knowing that one day his family would become mine. My parents have always told me that when you marry your husband, you marry his family as well. And friends, I don’t think either of us could have been more thankful with the families we are blessed to call in-laws. You see, marrying Randy has not only filled my heart with more joy then I can express, but it also gave me three incredible sibling-in-laws. Plus a fourth sibling-in-law when Randy’s younger sister got married last summer! Two brothers and two sisters. And not just sister-in-laws that I don’t enjoy spending time with or only talk with because I have to but sisters who I truly care for. Sisters who I can turn to in any and all situations, sisters who I consider to be some of my dearest friends, and sisters who I love and couldn’t imagine living life without them. So, with that, it should be clear that we absolutely love when family come to visit us here in Bermuda. And last week when Randy’s littlest sister, Kara came to visit was no exception. I was thrilled to be able to get Kara in front of my camera! Friends, enjoy these beautiful portraits!
