Every year, I’m always shocked at how quickly the summer flies by. Perhaps it’s because Randy and I aren’t in school any longer and don’t have a true 3 month long “vacation”! Regardless, we always try to take a few days out of our schedule to travel to Canada to spend time with family, relaxing and catching up! This year was one of the most relaxing vacations I feel we have had in a while! From spending time with Randy’s family, to camping and learning how to set up a tent, to relaxing by the lake at the cottage just the two of us, to exploring the varying museums at Algonquin Park and even antiquing with Randy’s sister and her husband! Everything we did felt so stress-free and truly as if we were on vacation!
The one thing we have learned from living so far away from family and friends, is that now when we spend time with everyone it is so intentional! We absolutely love that!! Our talks are deep and meaningful and our laughter is loud! We couldn’t have imagined a better time spent away and are so thankful for everyone that we were able to see!
I just LOVE this colourful door we found on our way up to the campsite!
