It was early Saturday morning when I received an email from Sacha, both confirming her family session for the afternoon, but also informing me of a surprise they had planned for her Dad! You see, this session was arranged in order to celebrate Pete’s 60th birthday!

So often, I share with you all how much I love what I do, and what an honour it is to capture such beautiful moments in your families lives. However this session, in particular, reminded me of what a joy it is to capture the love of family. With the help of friends and family, they were able to surprise Pete with two of his brothers and sister-in-law flying down to celebrate his 60th birthday with him. Not only was this surprise pulled off seamlessly it was more emotional than I was anticipating and I definitely had to hold back the tears!! It was clear that Pete was not only surprised, but overjoyed! And I count it such an honour that I was able to be a part of this surprise and capture it for their family to remember for years to come!

Llewellyn family, it was an absolute JOY meeting each of you! I hope you all had the most wonderful time together! However, I’m sure you did, as I don’t think we stopped laughing once your entire session!
