It’s Randy’s 28th Birthday!!! We’ve had a REALLY busy last couple of months and the busy has only continued. The beginning of the year started off a little scary, with Randy being diagnosed with Rhabdomyolysis when I was 39 weeks pregnant. We then moved into our new home 2 weeks before Annabel was born (while Randy was in the hospital). Followed by an incredibly long and challenging (but so worth it!) labour, and then getting news of Annabel’s diagnosis and being air ambulanced from Bermuda to Boston Childrens Hospital.
But when I think about that season although I remember being scared, I also remember feeling completely calm with Randy by my side as we met each new challenge together. He prayed with me when I had meltdowns and was overwhelmed. And he was the one holding my hand during contractions that lasted for hours before we ended up having to have a c-section to deliver Annabel. And he’s also the one that got up with me in the middle of the night when Annabel needed to nurse in those first few weeks, and let me cry when it was 3 in the morning and I’d had no sleep and just wasn’t feeling quite like myself.
Through it all, he made me feel safe and cared for. Even when HE was the one in the hospital! I’m so beyond thankful that he loves me unconditionally, and I know that both Annabel and I are incredibly lucky! I married a caring, handsome and giving man who would do anything for me.
